New conformal coating machine coming to Norlux!

Carol Stream, IL – Norlux announces the installation of the "Precisioncoat Spray & Dispense Coating System", manufactured by Specialty Coating Systems. Delivery has preliminarily been scheduled for late March, 2012.
This automated system equipped for the recently developed "selective coating" conformal coating method, combines diverse coating methods into a single system.  By employing an in-line conveyor system and a spray head mounted on a robotic gantry, a wide variety of manufactured devices can have conformal coating applied in a highly precise manor.  This system also feature a dispense needle for more precise coating applications, whereas the spray valve may be used for wide area applications. The two heads, working together, give the best balance of accuracy and efficiency.
The estimated benefits to Norlux are as follows:

  1. Savings of over 1,000 hours in labor time.
  2. Savings of over $25,000.00 in annual labor costs.
  3. Savings of approximately $20,000.00 in material cost.
