The Norlux family takes part in the 2011 Chicagoland Heart Walk

Carol Stream, IL – Norlux and its 60+ employees chose to contribute their time and charitable donations toward a worthy cause very near and dear to their heart: The 2011 Chicagoland Heart Walk. When one of the original members of the Norlux family succumbed to heart disease in 2007, Norlux has honored her memory by participating in the walk and soliciting charitable donations in her name.  Norlux employees raised $2,525 in donations, to do thier part in the fight against heart disease.

The September 23rd Heart Walk originated in Grant Park and took participants around a scenic 1- or 3-mile course. The rain and chilly weather did nothing to dampen the warm feeling the walkers had for the cause, or each other.  Wearing their matching t-shirts proclaiming "our heart was in it", team Norlux had a great company outing and supported a worthy cause all while strolling along the Chicago's beautiful lake front.
